Merlin Circuit Technology Ltd believes that due regard has to be given to the environmental issues pertaining to our activities in the manufacture of printed circuit boards.

It is the policy of the company to manage these activities, to ensure that as a minimum standard, they conform to all applicable laws, regulations and codes of practice; as detailed in our Register of Legislation. and that their environmental impact is reduced to a practical minimum .

Continuous Improvement, the Principle that Drives the Policy

We shall implement our Environmental Policy by establishing Environmental Objectives and Targets from an annual review of our Significant Environmental Aspects Register.

To substantiate our commitment to the environment we shall manage, monitor and measure the following area for improvement:

1. Reduce and control the waste we produce.
2. Reduce the water consumption in our operations.
3. Manage energy and raw materials in all areas of our business.
4. Reduce the risk of spillages and other environmental accidents.
5. Reduce our emissions to air and water.
6. Place more of our business with suppliers who are committed to improving their environmental practices.
7. Liaise with customers and suppliers to establish design standards, which will promote the use of environmentally friendly processes and materials, where practicable.
8. Promote environmental awareness with all employees and include these in all training programmes within the company.
9. Establish contingency
   procedures to be followed
   in the case of spillages or
   other environmental
   accidents.
